TRAVEL & STAY

All events will take place at Château des Alpilles and therefore, a running shuttle will be provided to and from the city center for both the welcome party and wedding day.

We suggest arriving on Friday the 14th June 2024 in the afternoon latest. We would love to start by welcoming you at the château on Friday later afternoon for the welcome party and for everyone to stay and celebrate the Wedding night with us until the early Sunday morning. Therefore, we recommend staying until Monday 17th or at least requesting a late check-out on Sunday 16th and everybody is welcome on the Rest and Recharge Day on Sunday at the pool. There is also plenty to do in the area if you want to extend your trip beyond that.

Shuttles from the train station could be the best option once you arrive at Avignon station.
Once we’ve received all of your estimated time of arrivals, we will try and see if it could be convenient for people renting a shuttle to bring you to your hotel.

Where to Stay

Apart from the Chateau itself we’ve booked some other hotels for Friday and Saturday night that are pretty nearby so people can come and go together by shuttle bus (already provided). Please let us know with whom you would like to stay in the same accommodation on your RSVP form and we will get back to you asap on which hotel is the perfect match for you. We have the exclusive use of the chateau up until Monday morning, therefore it would be very helpful if you could let us know if you are planning on leaving on Sunday or on Monday.

BY PLANE

Fly into Marseille (Marseille Provence Airport, MRS) and take or rent a car to Château des Alpilles (1hr).

BY TRAIN

Saint Remy is easily accessible by train or plane. If you plan to stay in Saint Remy for the weekend, renting a car is not necessary as we will provide shuttles to and from events. However, if you would like to explore the other areas of Provence, we would highly recommend renting a car which can be collected on arrival from the airport or train station- this is something you would need to reserve in advance.

Traveling to Saint Remy

PARKING

Take the train to Avignon TGV from many locations within Europe including Amsterdam. The train station is 30 minutes from Château des Alpilles & Saint Remy de Provence.

Like most places in Europe, parking will vary throughout Provence. When in Saint Remy de Provence, we would recommend booking parking with your hotel, if it's offered. If it's not, or you are staying outside of the city center and wish to visit, there is a medium size parking lot in the center of Saint Remy which you can pay for hourly.

For guests staying at Château des Alpilles, parking is plentiful and included in your stay.

If you decide to visit the nearby Les Baux de Provence, it is car-free town so you will need to take advantage of the car parks at the bottom of the village. Since the village is built on a cliff, there are many stairs to get inside therefore, we would not recommend this excursion for those guests with walking disabilities.
